Monsignor Slade Boys' Lacrosse (Middies) Are County Champs!

Four goals by Eric Wagonhoffer, two by Sean Meriam, and one each by Chris Shepherd and Chip Shelton (who scored his first goal of the season) helped to power the Monsignor Slade Middie C boys lacrosse team to victory. Conor Smith made 12 saves on 14 shots to seal Andover's defeat in the Anne Arundel County Middie C division championship game at Kinder Farm Park on May 20, 1997. Monsignor Slade won eight of 12 face-offs, took 19 shots on goal, and won the ground ball battle by a 2-1 margin to control possession of the game. The team caused six forced turnovers; led defensively by Kyle Hudson with two and one each by Sean Merriam, Eric Wagonhoffer, Jordan Tayman, and Frankie Frisbie.

The Monsignor Slade Middie Boys lacrosse team, who are Benjamin Abbott, George Amaral, Peyton Bevis, Tanner Calzado, Zachery Chun, Owen Coffee, Jake Donovan, Joshua Easterly, Frank Frisbie, Kyle Hudson, Sean Merriam, Sabian Muckelvene, Stephen Rebetsky IV, Aidan Seerey, Jason Shelton, Chip Shelton, Chris Shepherd, Conor Smith, Cole Stephen, Logan Sterling, Jordan Tayman, Robert Travis, and Eric Wagonhoffer, finished their lacrosse season at 12-0.
