Pre-K2 Students Learn about Fall

Our Pre-K2 students, the Minnows class explored what happens to trees during the fall.  Trees push their leaves off in order to survive through the winter.

The children used math classification skills to make leaves from the same type of tree.  They also learned about acorns and had the opportunity to search for, then find some.  By observing the different colors of the leaves, Mrs. Julie helped the children see where the leaves were in the withering process.

Then, in the ultimate moment of a lesson on leaves, the students enjoyed jumping and playing in the leaf pile together.
