Fourth Grade Begins Class Green School Project

Fourth graders recently placed a number of different types of plant clippings in water to begin the rooting process. Some students are attempting to root spider plants and pathos, while others are hoping their jade plant cutting or wandering plant cutting will begin to root.

The students' goal is to then plant their rooted clippings in soil and nurture them until large enough to be placed for each classroom in the school.  The students learned plants can positively impact their classrooms by filtering the air, creating a sense of calmness, and enriching the visual landscape of the classroom.
