Maryland's BOOST Scholarship Application Deadline Extended!

The BOOST Scholarship Coalition is a group of parents, educators and school administrators who are dedicated to ensuring that Maryland students have access to high-quality, affordable and diverse educational options.

We believe that education is not one-size-fits-all and that families should have the opportunity to choose the education that best fits their child's needs. We advocate for families in Maryland.

The state of Maryland enacted the BOOST (Broadening Options & Opportunities for Students Today) Scholarship Program in 2016 to give K-12 students from lower-income Maryland families an opportunity to find the best educational fit for their needs through by providing scholarships for their children to attend a nonpublic school. This puts more options within reach for Maryland families and children, particularly those who are most in need.

The Maryland Department of Education has opened the application window for BOOST Scholarships for 2021-2022. The link is on the right side of the Maryland Department of Education webpage. Families may apply now through April 30, 2021 (in English and Spanish).
