The Broadening Options and Opportunities for Students Today (BOOST) Program provides scholarships for some students who are eligible for the free or reduced-price lunch program to attend eligible nonpublic schools. Awards are granted based on household income, with the lowest income served first.
The BOOST program for the 2017-2018 school year is governed by language in the Fiscal 2018 Budget Bill. The language begins on page 135 of House Bill 150 of the 2017 session (the Fiscal 2018 Budget Bill).
Who's eligible for BOOST? Low-income students whose family income is at or below 185% of the federal poverty level:
- $29,637 or less for a family of 2
- $37,296 or less for a family of 3
- $44,955 or less for a family of 4
- $52,614 or less for a family of 5
Scholarship information for the 2018-2019 school year is not available at this time. Please check the BOOST website beginning early March for scholarship information for this coming school year.
